Intro
I’ve always been fascinated by the idea of creating something of my own. I’ve watched countless videos from Y Combinator (YouTube) and heard so many success stories from founders in the USA. I also listen to Naval’s podcasts for advice and insights on startups and personal growth.
Finding Inspiration
One of my biggest inspirations is Bhanuka from Surge Global (Instagram). Funny thing is—we’re actually distant relatives, but I haven’t had the chance to talk to him yet. I still watch his Instagram stories daily for inspiration.
One thing he said really stuck with me:
“Focusing on saving money at the beginning of your career is a stupid thing to do. Instead, you must focus on spending money on personal growth.”
That hit home for me, and I took it very seriously.
Time to Build
It’s been about a year since I started learning how to code. Now, I finally feel like I have enough knowledge to start working on my own project.
I learned programming through Sololearn, and I absolutely loved it. The app made learning fun and interactive. That got me thinking:
What if there was an app like Sololearn, but for A/L students?
That’s when the idea hit me—I’ll build an app for A/L students, starting with A/L Physics.
I’m calling it “Studynote”.
The Journey Begins
I’ll be documenting the entire journey of building this app right here in my journal.
First Step:
Design the UI of the app.
I’ll talk more about that in my next article. 🚀
